WE ARE MOVING!!

YES!!!!!! It finally is going to happen. We have finally found a place of our own. After hitting the 1 year mark of living in with my parents, we are moving out! I am so grateful for the time we have got to be living with my parents getting things back in order. It has been quite a blessing. The hardest part we have had was finding the right place. We were in hopes that we could maybe be able to buy our own home, but it's just not in our cards right now. Honestly we felt good about it though, seeing that next October, Chris will be finished with his Master's Degree (YES!!!!) and not knowing if we will be staying in this area for work, its almost better not to buy a house just yet.
But the process of finding a place to rent has been very depressing! I have cried on my husbands shoulders many nights because things just weren't working out right. We wanted to try and find a house so the kids could have their own back yard and space, but nothing seemed to be right for us.

FINALLY we say a for rent sign on these apartment complexes in town, I will admit that I had my doubts. I almost felt like a failure because I was taking my family back to an apartment and not a house. So we went to look just to see what they looked like. We took our kids with us, and when Neilsen, my 4 yr old, walked in his eyes lite up like Christmas morning and he looked at me and said, "Mom this is going to be our house!" He was so excited and went through every room and told me what he found in all of them. Right then I knew, that it didn't matter if we lived in house or an apartment, as long as we were together in our own space is all that mattered. Besides a home is what you make of it right?

So we took the application for it that day, asked if they had anything besides an upstairs available. She thought she might have a downstairs but would let us know. By the time we dropped it back off, and got all the necessary paperwork in, we were told she had a TOWNHOUSE available. HELLO!!! What more could I ask for. So to make a long post short. WE GOT THE TOWNHOUSE! I am so excited and so relieved that things are starting to look up from here. We signed out contract today and walked away with our keys, and can start moving in on Monday.

We are so excited to finally be getting back into our own place. Once everything is in I will post pictures. But I had to post and share my exciting news. :)

OK, for being a photographer, I have been slacking in the department of updating my kid's pictures! Photo of the Day

So my aunt posted this picture the other day on Facebook, and being the photo person I am, I asked her to email me the picture, which she did. So I took the liberty of using my made photo editing skills and just enhanced the picture and voila! This picture is just to awesome to not share. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

Traci is 2!!

As I woke up this morning, I couldn't believe that 2 years ago I was in the hospital with my new baby girl! Traci was born bright and early in the morning, (thanks to a wonderful scheduled C-Section) and she still has like this time clock that wakes her up at the same time every morning. Regardless of the time she went to bed!! :)
I love watching her grow and learn every day. She is just so amazing and such a wonderful helper. We call her our little mommy. And no joke, she tends to repeat EVERYTHING that I say. As I am finishing up her book for this year, it is crazy to see how much she has changed in just one year!
So here is to you my little Miss Traci Lue! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Traci Lue just hours old. Traci Lue on her 1st Birthday

Mommy is one Happy Camper!!

You see this cute little girl standing on that bathroom sink? All decked out in her princess pretties from her Aunt Neil & Uncle Travis for Christmas. Well let me tell you, she has just made me the happiest mom ever!!!!! Over Christmas Holiday we spent it in the Malad with my in-laws. And the whole time I was there, I was watching my little Traci Lue very closely and I new that once we got home and settled back down, we were going to attempt the big "P" word, Potty Training!!!!
Now for any one who knows me knows, that I had a heck of a time potty training my son Neilsen. I spent lots of days just crying and frustrated that I was doing something wrong with him, or that I started to soon with him because he just seemed to have taken quite a long time to finally get it down. It was quite the celebration once he finally got the hang of it all, that I looked at my mom and said, "Traci better do better then this or I so not doing it!" LOL.
I wasn't even planning trying to potty train Traci this early but hey, when she comes to me and is wanting to do it, by all means I say give it a shot. I mean, who wouldn't want to be down to only one kid in diapers right!
SO last week we started the Potty Training. The first day was a little rusty but by day two, I had a feeling that I just might have trained by her 2 birthday. (Which is next Thursday).
I am very proud and freaking excited to report that with just 6 days of starting her potty training, we have head OVERALL 3 huge accidents and 2 baby accidents (non of them were the poppy!) That is right my not even 2 year old has pretty much potty trained herself! THANK GOODNESS!!!!!!! We are going on day 3 of accident free!
I am so proud of her, and I am still amazed to believe that she is doing so well. So to any mothers who have had a rough time with potty training, trust me.........it does get better! :)
WAY TO GO TRACI LUE!!!!
